Post Sit down running a Backwater 35??
Do y'all running backwaters ever run them sitting down? I know with old GDLT it's hard to run sitting unless you are a husky fellow.

If you are running sitting down, how far forward is the seat? With a GTR and turning left I like to be able to let the handle go behind me without moving too much and just wondering if that's what you guys with backwaters like or what exactly?

I run mine sitting down sometimes as long as the run is relatively straight and I'm not having to make and really tight turns. If you need some handle length measurements, just let me know.

Like Frank said. When your running straight with slight turns, sitting down is no problem. The end of my tiller handle is about 48 inched from the transom. The middle of my seat is 44 inches from the transom so I have to move forward a little for the sharp left turns.

All measurements are from the bottom of the transom.

Open floor plan is great for the LT's! I've been driving 25/27's for 25 years now..used a cooler, now a bird bucket seat (cabelas), prefer standing when coursing in the shallow marsh, weather permitting. ak, you are absolutely right, one of the first installations in my duck boat was a drink/shell holder. 'Course, the imbibing of libation is for after the hunt. I've been wanting to install a grab "bar" since the first day!
