Post Prop Update
I'm just giving a brief update to those who are curious about different props for different situations.

I have been testing props for Glen Hopkins, actually working a little over there trading prop work for me tig welding some stainless for him.

I'll just get right to it and tell y'all that the smoothest and fastest prop I've run is a chopped 12" GT prop down to 11 1/4"s. We basically brought the O.D. down to 11 1/4 and cupped the prop and did one other thing that I was told not to tell to anyone. You are more than welcome to call Glen and ask him yourself.

The 11 1/4" prop ran 32mph deep water with 2 people and fishing load. (2) Batteries, 9 gallons of gas, fish ice box and few other things. It takes a little longer to plane out like the 3 blade but once you are up and running its awesome, absolutely love it.

We took our time and got the blades perfectly symmetrical and balanced, the prop is flawless as of right now. I plan on keeping it for deep water only. I cant explain why, but it drives so good, so good we made a template of the blades incase anyone ever wanted one.

Just a FYI, the 12" stock prop is going to be the best for carrying a load and digging in the slop, the chopped prop isn't going to perform like a stock 12". It is going to be more suited for deep water and light duty shallow water, definitely no mud runs, lol.

We took an older 3 blade design he had from years ago and broached it for the GT. Can't say much about it except that it was a little slower and needed to be tweaked, ill post about it in the near future once we tweak it a little bit.

I'm beginning to accept the fact that the 2 blade design is going to be the best choice overall, unless he works some miracle with the 3 blade, I will abandon the idea all together, from a racing standpoint, 2 blades have always been faster than 3 blades.

Any questions y'all have I would be more than happy to forward them and answer back.

I'll post a picture of it next time I get a chance.

From my experience the gt 3 blade is faster than the gt 2 blade

Could you cut down a worn out gt 2 blade to the 11 1/4 and it perform like you say or would you need a new big blade?

Thanks, you gotta see this man work a prop in person, then you will understand what 50+ years of experience looks like.

Im grateful to be able to learn from him, he's a super busy person and there are about 4-6 props coming in the door every day.

I'd like to learn enough to be able to make a serious consideration on doing it full time down the road when i am tired of traveling with my current job.

I am highly interested in a deep water speed prop. Is this the answer?

If you want we can test drive one, your profile says north shore, where exactly are you at?

This prop was designed to be super smooth and fast. I'm not going to claim it's the fastest, but it's damn close.

Post Re: Prop Update
I really can't think of a situation that i would need it. Yes it carried a load better because of the cupping. But the prop im running now carried 4 people around 27-28 mph in the middle of the damn river, can't ask for better than that. I'm talking about the 11 1/4" cupped 2 blade.

Why not use gator glide?

It will stand up to much more abuse and is definitely slicker than spray paint.

This is the reason I came up with the name Stopthetalk!!

You said and I quote.. Brings Up The RPM's Very Slightly!! :o

More RPM'S will give you a performance gain. What is Very Slightly RPM's gain with this Magic Spray in a can gives a prop?

Now!! You Please STOPTHETALK!! ;) :o
