Post Removing non-skid paint
I am about to try to put down hydro turf in my boat. Currently the floor has some type of paint mixed with sand making it a somewhat "non-skid" surface. Any tips on getting this removed to where I can throw down some hydro turf?

Just use contact cement and put the turf on top.

Clean it good with acetone. Then stick.

With contact cement, you're just wasting your money buying spray glue. You dont need anything else.

Whatever they sell at home depot. Dap i think.

I used the red weldwood contact cement on my last two boats. Just let it dry/get tacky and stick. Be careful once it stick it stuck

Yea, weldwood, thats it. Like he said, you need to coat both the boat and the turf, then pretty much let it dry before you lay it down. And be careful, it is STUCK once you lay it down.

Paint brush in the corners and roller for the majority.

Don't put too much on it or it will stretch it when it dries. Just put a thin coat on the boat and the turf, let it tack, then stick it. And yes once its stuck its there.

I would just pick up a gal. It's not that expensive.

The gel is less messy but doesn't go quiet as far.

A gallon will do, you will have some left over.
