 Re: sport v reviews
My take on the sport v - avoid it for another few years to allow MB to perfect it. Once they have, I think it'll be a big competitor to GT and PD.
If MB dealers are warning people away from them as unreliable pos - best to heed that advice and get yourself a field proven mm.
I've had a PD and loved it. The CS was excellent, and I have nothing but good things to say about GT and their cs.
I honestly think you're taking an un required risk investing in a Sport v.

 Re: sport v reviews
I have a sport v. Tore the lower unit off but with the new thicker casting it's been good. All the new motors come with a reinforced handle which has not broke. Most of the lower units vetted cracked hauling them then come apart later. They do need to adjust the position it gets hauled in. I did mine myself. Running 29mph in F86 1851v w/ 2 adults and yeti full of beer.
