 New Boat Buyer
Alright I have been researching for over a month now and I think I opened my options to more than where I started and don't know what to do.
I'm from Michigan where I hunt lots of lakes, big and somewhat fast rivers, marshes and swamps, and large shallow bays.
I have been using a tiller, then went to jet, and neither are doing what I want. I sold my boat and I'm starting fresh. I have decided pd/gt for motor but I don't know where to start for boat. Finding a good dealer seems to be the first challenge.
I know I want either 1754 or 1860, could go either way depending on the deal I can get on either. But because I hunt lots of large shallow bays which can get a pretty good chop I was considering a mod-v. But I know I'll have some issues getting on plane. I like gatortail so far if i decided to go against mov-v but I have a seaark dealer not too far away.
Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Essentially I just need a boat that will hunt 3 guys, a dog, gear, and run in 12" or less water.

 Re: New Boat Buyer
I know gatortrax has a mv option that will do great in chop but also get you really shallow.

I have been looking at SeaArk 1860 duckhawk with jet motor hull.

 Re: New Boat Buyer
The hybrid front helps in chop yes, my Prodigy does great on the Tennessee River during pretty rough conditions.

 Re: New Boat Buyer
If you want to look at a Prodigy I can meet you somewhere and you can look over my rig and we can go for a run. I'm from Michigan as well. West side. Are you from the East?
