 Hello from Oklahoma
Nice to find this group. I am a long time duck hunter, but will be new to mud boats when I finally buy one.
I am looking for a goood low hours used boat. Nothing great big as I have a 1960 beavertail with outboard and flats jack. Probably something like a 1754. I want big on motor, 50 HP or in that range.
I definitely want reverse and power tilt.
Any and all input would be most appreciated, and if you have one for sale or think you may know someone that does, please drop me a line!
Thank you for having me here.

 Re: Hello from Oklahoma
Prodrive and gatortail are your only real options if you want reverse.
50hp? Meh... All these motors use the 35/36hp vanguards. Any more power will just mean you're adding mods.

OKLAHOMA!?!?!? Only steers and ..uh, uh, oh yeah--- good people come out of Oklahoma. I have many good friends in Oklahoma. All very good people I can count on. Welcome. You got a pretty state over there. I have spent some time there around Fort Sill, Ok City, Tulsa, canoed and camped on the Elk in the northeast part.

 Re: Hello from Oklahoma
Welcome....
I used to do some shooting north of Lawton, OK, but understand the SE peanut and alfala fields are much more to the duck and geese of that part of the flyway.

 Re: Hello from Oklahoma
There is a restaurant around Lawton and Fort Sill. I seem to remember it was in the middle of nowhere at a T in the road, could have been a curve. Sort of on a hill. Anyway you eat on big wire spools turned on their side. You carve your name in it. There was also some small mountain close by. Anyway, great chili burgers.
Anyone know the name of that place?

Meers, they have huge hamburgers and awesome steaks. I lived in that area for 4 years in the military at ft. Sill.

 Re: Hello from Oklahoma
I'd say 16×54 huntdeck (so 17×54) with a sport v 55. Every one will talk shit about the sport V but you don't have to do any mods and as long as you don't beat the hell out of it it shouldn't break.

If they can even send it to the right place. Been waiting a damn month on a carb kit. They mailed 3 times to wrong place.
