 Advantage, Bog Hog, Swomp, mudmotors
Hey! Anybody tried the heavy duty version of the Advantage mudmotor? I'm looking for a good U-weldit kit. How about the Backwater SWOMP kit? For 16hp+ motors. Give me some knowledge guys!

Re: Advantage, Bog Hog, Swomp, mudmotors
Get a back water glider kit if you want to put one together yourself. They have engineering and options that are far far ahead of the rest of the Longtail pack...

That Advantage frame looks pretty beefy.

What is the biggest engine you can use with a Glider kit? For some reason I thought a 16 would work with the glider kits.

I've been told several people are running 16hp Honda clones with the SWOMP lite glider kit. You can also get the bigger frames as a glider kit and run 35 Briggs. Just call the guys at Back water and let them know what you're wanting to do. They'll take care of you.

The Glider lite kit looks good. Except I'd be skeered a taking it through anything tough. It has no spine or bracing for the shaft tube.

Re: Advantage, Bog Hog, Swomp, mudmotors
OK! I talked to Jake at Backh2o. A heavier duty Glider kit is coming out later this summer. The bigger motors like 16 + will bolt right up. And it will have a stiffener spine on the shaft tube. Right now the frame mount has to be modified on the 10+ Glider kit to fit a 16hp. And h2o would do it for a customer. Heck! I'm gonna wait for the new Kit. It'll be around $1,500.

Huck finn, what is the most noticeable difference between the backh20 and the godevil. Is there anything you like better about the godevil? What about grinding out with the shorter shaft? Thanks

Re: Advantage, Bog Hog, Swomp, mudmotors
I just ordered the Bog Hog U weldit kit. I should of waited for the new Hd Glider Lite from Backwater that will be coming out, but I want to put one together from scratch. I'm going to beef up the frame alittle like the GD, MB, etc. I was thinking about attaching a rollerbearing housing on the lower part of the shaft tube, but not sure how to go about it. Also someone mentioned that bushings were easier to change? I have a 16hp Briggs to put on it. The frame will take up to a 30hp.

Great! Thanks for the information 86. I was looking at beavertail parts and they screw on. left hand threads on the bottom. That's out. I'll check H20.

Pretty much the same but better. Ive owned B.W. motors for 5 years and havent had a seal or bearing issue yet.
