Re: A real custom boat from WC Custom
Kentucky Mark, keep the updates coming. I'm looking for a boat for my Swomp 35 so I'm interested to see how yours performs.

Re: A real custom boat from WC Custom
Here is another little feature that we are incorporating. This spot lamp will shine 1000 feet but it is heavy. So Pete built a quick attach - release to the grab bar for the light.

Re: A real custom boat from WC Custom
Guys, glad you like the rig. The spot lamp is a Grote Trilliant 2500 Lumen spot lamp. These are the same lamps the military is installing on several of their tactical vehicles. It is an actual spot pattern that really reaches but it weighs almost 5 pounds. The aluminum tube is predrilled for a hitch pin. I actually may extend it 4 feet so I can raise it over my head.

Dude nice boat. Good luck with it. As everyone else has said, seems like you put a lot of thought into everything about it.

My brother is working on digital duck camo patterns. He came up with a stencil and ran a sample. I think it will be cool actually using the flock of ducks as part of the camo.

Re: A real custom boat from WC Custom
Looks good! But the only thing is it would be the same pattern all over the boat. Might would be better if you had 2 or 3 of different ones to break it up a little.

Re: A real custom boat from WC Custom
I recently got my Back Water 35 SS to WC Custom. Pete bolted the motor onto the boat he is building 1854. .125. For those that have been asking he tells me the empty boat ran 21-22 mph and hopped up on plane very quickly. I think it should run 17-18 with me and my hunting gear. I am very pleased with all aspects. I will post more pics and highlight some cool options we built into this "Duck Hunting Rig" soon.

Re: A real custom boat from WC Custom
Will, I agree the glare can be unbearable. I have a light bar on the front with around 7000 lumens of light covering forward and front angles. The lamp I have mounted on the grab bar is a very tight 2500 lumen spot lamp. It will create around 25 lux at 300 yards. I will use it instead of a hand held "Q" beam. Typically shining side to side not towards the front. The problem I have with the fixed light bar is sometimes I want to see stuff that I do not want to head towards. I also had an extension built on the pole to elevate when using. A Periscope light haha.

Re: A real custom boat from WC Custom
Really beautiful boat and ever more impressive in person. I saw it when I went up to Pete's to see the boat he is building for me. I think that was your rig right next to mine. Your boat actually gave me a few ideals for changes that Pete was able to work in for me. As everyone else on this site has stated. Pete is a great guy to work with and very easy to deal with. I don't even have my boat yet but would recommend him to anyone.
