Post bedliner in boat
Looking to get a Bedliner sprayed in my aluminum hull. Any suggestions as to what kind and where to get it sprayed? I'm in the Houma area.
TIA

Why?

I spent a week scraping that shit out of a boat once. If you do do it, aircraft paint stripper is what you'll need to remove it in the future.

I had a boat with bed liner on the front and rear decks. It was black and still didn't get that hot in sun and held up for several years...

My excel is sprayed with superliner from factory. Inside and out. I absolutely love it. But I think the best route is hydro turf. Bed liner still get hot as all get out in the summer.

I do spray in liners for a living and I didn't do my hull because of weight, but if I were to do it I would use Line X or a low profile material like it. Reflex also makes a product called Gardit that would work well. Keep in mind if you are doing your front deck and Bowfishing that equals SLICK. I had my Air Ranger done and won't make that mistake again. Note: hydro doesn't ever get slick or hot unless it is frozen over.

I think I got mine from Amazon, its called herculiner and dose wonders. I bought two quarts and only used one. I power washed the floor after last season and some of this fishing season and its looking brand new. Highly recommended this roll on bed liner. I think it was pretty cheap to.

The biggest concern I have is the extra weight. A buddy of mine did tell me about hydro turf, but I don't know much about it. Is it easily cleaned and maintained?

I have my boat line xd and love it, it's much quieter now. Was tired of touching up paint. Line X in Metairie did mine.

Would the hydro turf work well in an aluminum boat where the floor is ribbed?

I bet it adds a little more than that. Think about how much the can weighs full, and then how much empty. Still ain't much, but it's more than a pound or two.

Who cares if it adds 50 lbs? It's not affecting performance. The guy at line x estimated that it weighed 10 lbs for what they consumed spraying my boat.

How many times do you have to add 50 lbs to your boat before it starts affecting performance?

Is any weight lost as it dries and hardens?

How much does water weigh when it dries?

just do the smart thing and get hydro turf, hydro turf and gator glide

hydro turf is around $100 a sheet with the adhesive on it. thats a 47"x86" sheet. my boat is 19x48 and it took 3 sheets

We do liners at my store, and do boats regularly. Smaller boats 13-17 usually around 6-800 with having to do some tape and prepping. I would however suggest hydro turf. I've had it in my last boat, but much preferred the hydro turf I have now to the liner.

Mines held up great, maybe I got lucky. But every single person here has said they'd recommend hydro turf. The choice is clear. Go hydro!
