 jet build
I'm fully aware this is a mud boat forum but I figure some of yall might like the build.
As some of you know I used to have a 1848 gtr 35 which performed excellent just for my sandy river running props would wear in no time. I broke the lower on my outboard as well so I began looking into other options. I like tillers for control but was ready for a center consol for easier running and to make it easier to drink a few cold ones on the go.
I found a used inboard jet motor had it rebuilt and found a guy to fabricate the boat to run the jet.
Its turned out great for the river I have some video Ill post in a second. It will run over rock and sand so shallow the bottom of the boat drags. I've even jumped logs I just have to be more carefull the metal isn't as thick as a mud hull nor as stout and I have an intake grate I don't want to tear off other than that I'm impressed. Top speed is 32 with my little 650cc yamaha. Some people go bigger and get in the 40s and 50s.
