Tried the search couldn't fine what I was looking for.
Anyone add a access hatch to their bench seat for more storage? What brand, type, did you like it?

 Re: access hatches
I put a tempress hatch in the middle seat of all my little Jon boats. They do the job and are worth their weight in gold for stowing clutter type chit

 Re: access hatches
Any one see any aluminum hatches anywhere?
How do the plastic ones hold up if standing on them?

 Re: access hatches
I like the Cabela's one, looks like it would be more flush. Thanks everyone for the input.

 Re: access hatches
Tempress. Mine worked fine standing on it but it was a relatively smaller hatch. Was water tight as well.

 Re: access hatches
The hatches from Cabela's are tough. I put the large one in the small front deck on my boat. It get's walked on all the time and is built for it. They are spendy but worth every penny in my opinion. I'll be adding a couple of the medium sized ones as well. I searched for a long time online and they seem to be the toughest ones available.

 Re: access hatches
Went with the Cabelas one. Cut the hole and started taking foam out of bench, what a pain in the *ss! Have another question, does the foam give needed support to the bench itself? As I started taking foam out, seemed that the bench gave a little in the middle. Can I take all the foam out?
Anyone done this to a Tracker Grizzly before?

 Re: access hatches
Pulled all the foam out of my old boat you'll be ok it'll stiffen up when you put the hatch in, but if you want leave some around the edges as padding so stuff doesn't beat around.

 Re: access hatches
Update. Got both hatches in and took almost all the foam out. Left the foam right under the seat mount for support, just in case. If it gets waterlogged, will pull it too. Removing the foam was fun! Not! Everything did firm up once hatches were installed.
Added a lot of extra storage. Thanks again everyone for your help and advise.
