Posted in the props forum too, I have a 12.5hp brigs and Stratton on a longtail kit. Last season I hit an old fence under water and broke my prop. A friend of my dad's had a 9x7 laying around that I just threw on there to get me thru the season. It really really bogs the motor down though...it will run at full rpms out of the water, but not even half once in the water. Causing really slow speeds. I think I'm getting not even 8-9mph. I have an 8x4 on the way. Should this fix my problem?

I run a Hill 8x4 on my 420cc 13 hp predator, should work great for you. Just check for other sources of drag, eg old bush hook lines, reeds, grass crammed in bushings etc.

Got a buddy with a 16hp which prop would you recommend sorry to jack your trend
