 build coming along
So far I have done the following: New trailer bearings, new hubs, new led lights all around on trailer gator glide on bottom of boat new winch added safety chain new roller added boat buckles led light bars cheapo hydroturf (sears) install on all decking resealed hull from all the hole previous own thought he had to drill made spud bars grab handle.
next up electrical and the blind and cutting off the welded on coupler that the old owner ran into with a tractor and welding back in the section of the transom he cut out for a short motor. 1st owner added a 5" alum channel to top of transom for his tall transom motor, 2nd owner cut out a V notch for his motor, and now im replacing the V notch.

How much of the Sears hydro turf did you use and how did you apply it?

 Re: build coming along
I don't have the lights mounted yet, that's why that chunk of aluminum is holding up the back light. plan to do the electrics this weekend and get a start on the blind.
planning to run both headlights, one headlight, 12V recpts, nav lights, bilge, and a sonar/GPS an onboard charger, with two batteries and a couple disconnects.
for the blind im building a gatorhide style layout blind that is gonna be slick as hell. I know as soon as I post it someone is gonna sell it lol. designed it all up in solidworks at work, gonna be simple and something anyone can turn their boat into if they wish.

 Re: build coming along
built up the transom last night, extended the tongue and replaced the coupler. Like to give a big ol thanks to the kid who sold me this boat. told me it was in perfect condition and I drive 3 hours to pick it up to find the tires were dry rotted as shit, and the welded on coupler was bent from hitting it with a tractor, and the wiring was a cluster fuck of electrical tape, spliced in runs with wire connectors, and broken sections of wire mid way down the tubes...
in hindsight I should have walked away, but I wanted the platform for my build and have restored the shit out of this boat.
To sum up everything so far. Engine: I have completely rebuilt and bored over the engine. not a single bolt or nut not torqued to spec. Rebuilt the outdrive and regreased. removed all unnecessary items (stock gov, mech fuel pump (always in the boat as a back up with tools)
Trailer: New springs, new hubs, new bearing, all new wiring harness, all around leds, new spare, new rollers, new coupler, new winch, new tires, new coupler, extended the tongue, new safety chain, fixed the configuration on the winch post. (original owner ran strap over the roller and cranked until the eye was in front of the roller???) had to reposition post and correct height.
Boat: Sanded and gator glide bottom, covered all walking points with poor man turf, all new wiring, new batteries, new bilge, new tank, added water separator, re wired switch panel for correct load, all wires run in protected tube, all grounds located to a central bus, all electrical in one compartment, new head lights, new gps, new nav lights, new grab bar, new spud poles, new push pole, built up the transom. Fixed any and every hole I have found in the hull, either by tig or screw with 3M 5200 marine.
it amazes me how fucking retarded people are (I hope you read this Parker and Nate), in the things they do and the lies they tell to sell something they own. In both cases I drove a long ass way only to find out I was fucking lied to about the condition of something. When I specifically asked about the condition and YEAR of certain items. If you don't even know what fucking year of boat, motor or trailer you are selling don't fucking guess! And if someone asks you about the condition don't lie. In both cases yeah I could have walked away but I had the means and time to make both work and make them how I wanted to. in the end I still came out WAY ahead of buying a rig new off the lot. rant over back to my build lol

 Re: build coming along
Nice job. You have really put a lot of work into everything. Be careful with that air horn(I think that's what it is) on top of your battery. It looks like you have it tied but if it were to come loose and short the battery out you will have some unwanted fireworks.

 Re: build coming along
scored some free seats from work, and figured why not. So I gave them a little makeover, added rubber caps on the legs to not cut the sears turf and reupholstered them.

 Re: build coming along
Wow you've been very busy! Boat is turning out bad ass! Live your battery setup very clean. Fun putting something together like this isn't it? Looking good bro. You should be proud of what it was to what it's morphed into.

 Re: build coming along
I have the 1 to 2.5 clamps also and just put both spud poles in the same clamps. They are held so tight they don't rattle plus its 1 less set of clamps to buy
