Post Re: Pulled the trigger
Thanks again guys. Doesn't draft but about 2". Again I can't say enough about the quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail Corey put in this boat. I don't run much mud, some years none at all. I had some ideas (from 40 years of running boats) about what I wanted on the bottom but did not know how it would work with a surface drive. Again Corey was ahead of me, took over the conversation about what I wanted, improved on it and it works well with a surface drive. The boat turn hard, stays flat and doesn't bog down. He's got an acute knowledge of how a boat should preform and how to make it work with SDs. I can't wait to get the GatorGlide on and put some time on the motor.

Installed ipilot trolling motor and safety flag. Salt water series only comes in white so I was going to paint it black but was afraid it wouldn't work, so I'm going to paint it camo. Ran an airboat trail with the family onboard without the flag and a cold chill went down my back so...
Note the stern straps, this is the angle you want, not strait up and down.

Where did u buy the winch and what brand? Is there ever a concern once you winch the damn stuck boat out the battery will be too taxed to turn the motor over?

I would leave the motor running if pulling off of the start battery.

Running the winch off the trolling motor battery, that's good info though if I had to switch to starter battery, I can see how that leave on the woods. The winch is a "super winch" and got it off amazon, think it was $315. I called the company about the wiring and they were more than willing to help me out. not sure when the plate cracked, just the first fin. I call gatortail and they sent me the support plates, took ten minutes to put them on. curtail I've put Ricky's paint job to the test bouncing off downed trees and it holds up great. Your right he does great work.

Frog, I noticed you had a difference in your reverse plate from one photo to the next on the new lower unit. What's the story behind that? Maybe I missed it in this or another thread, but just curious.
