 Decoys in boat ?
Has anyone came up with a good way to keep the decoys out-of-the-way i use just bags but they always seem to get in the way I'm thinking like something to keep them all to the side of the boat I have a fold down blind just wondering if anybody else has had this or figured anything out

I do the same. Leave the bag at home and just clip the Texas rigs where ya want them.

 Re: Decoys in boat ?
12 slot bags. Bungee 2 or 3 up on the bow deck then can set any other bags along the gunnels where they are more compact than a bag

I love the 12 slot bags. They work great and protect your deeks. Caught mine on sale though, they are pricey otherwise.

I'm tellin' y'all, stack 'em on a pole. Takes 'em off da floor and out of the way to one side of boat.

 Re: Decoys in boat ?
When you routinely set out 10 doz decoys and have to pick all of them up and store in boat you'll realize the benefit of the pole stacking method.

 Re: Decoys in boat ?
I think it depends on what sort of decoys rigs you deploy and the conditions in which you hunt. Overall, I prefer divided bags, even for Texas rigged decoys. The bags can be filled and then moved aside as we pick up. The bags also keep mud and snow off and keep the decoys from scuffing each other up.

Rig em right bags are the way to go. I mainly hunt deeper water and rivers, I have 4 tanker XL bags. They fit nice in the boat and stack well to..I just put a ratchet strap over them and they do not move.. I do like your idea Dean just would not work for me..

 Re: Decoys in boat ?
I use these for both Texas rigs and Longline sets. With Texas rigs, I clip the carabiners to the handles. You can get about 3 doz in them and when your done deploying decoys you scrunch it up and throw it under the deck or in a hatch. Had my current ones for 4-5 years now and they seem to be holding up fine. http://www.menards.com/main/housewares/ ... c-7131.htm

 Re: Decoys in boat ?
I just bought one of these earlier this week. doesn't look too bad, but I'm sure like anything, you get what you pay for. I'm too cheap to buy expensive decoy bags. Id rather spend my money on other things. I got 2dzn teal, dzn mallards and 3 goose floaters to fit in there. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/game-wi ... =599422810

 Re: Decoys in boat ?
I have tried several other brands and they have only lasted a 2-3 hunting seasons before getting torn up. These bags are made well and have lasted 3 seasons so far without any issues. The only disadvantage is that they aren't very big so you will need several depending on how many decoys you use. http://huntfierce.com/

Doesn't that pole method tear the heck out of your decoys paint bounding around?

 Decoys in boat ?
I wouldn't want my CG being that high in the deep water I run through. Heavy waves would cause the decoys to be tossed around. My decoys run in the boat near the bow and all clipped to a rope that runs port to starboard across the bow. Guns and ammo bags are tossed on top to add weight and we roll out.

 Re: Decoys in boat ?
42 in. x 64 in., Two-Man Carry bag from Cabelas. Biggest damn bag on the market, two of them clear full of decoys. Made to hold a lot and they are tough. only have two grab handles and are perfect for boats.
Hangin decoys from poles, in slotted bags, etc is a PITA, if a decoy cant handle the abuse switch brands. I stack these two bags on my bow and roll out. Helps level the boat, and keep em out of our way.
