Post Epoxy/resin boat bottom
I have a cheap 1436 I'm redoing now that season I over an not looking to put too much into. Can I use regular epoxy/resin to coat the bottom with to give it a little more durability and seal some pinholes? Will it be less friction than bare aluminum?
Thanks

Maybe I Gould ask this question: is there a cheap accessible (hardware store) product to coat the little part of tho hull that is in th water? I don't want to spend 100 dollars on a gallon that I will barely use any of.

werlons waterman, gatorglide are similar products are similar in performance and have good adheasion. If you go with a fill and primer to build up and fair the boot your looking at 300 bucks round about. Steelflex is thicker and cheeper but does not perform as good or last as long.

What are you trying to achieve? None of the products will help with speed in deep water or even mudd. It will help over vegition and stumps and unloading the boat. The water man is so slick I need someone to hook me up on a ramp because it will slide off before I can get to the front of the boat.

Go to Ipaint.com. Look for the industrial marine epoxy paint. Roll it on with a 3/8 inch nap roller.
