10 HP Dixie Mud Motors Trouble
The motor goes faster idoling in the water than when you give it gas. Could this be a pulley problem? Any suggestions?

How many rpms? Does it sound like it's bogging or running good.

Re: 10 HP Dixie Mud Motors Trouble
No tack so don't know RPMS motor sounds fine. The prop feels like it is slipping in the water

Re: 10 HP Dixie Mud Motors Trouble
How Big a boy are you?
Empty it out and run it with just a couple gallons of gas and yourself to see what it does. That motor should be enough to get on plane. It will be slow but it should plane out. If you load it down it will just push a lot of water. That's why it feels like your going slower when you should be going faster.
