Post prop getting to much air
Could the pieces of angle on the bottom of a normal Jon boat cause the prop to get to much air in? Disrupting the water to much maybe?

Pieces of angle? Could you show us a picture? Im just trying to imagine pieces of angle welded to the bottom of a hull...

Just where the hull is broke when they build it so u can turn and not just drift. I think they are called the strakes

The center One on mine is a piece of angle I guess where it joined both pieces.

I was thinking maybe like welding a bead along the back/bottom of the transom to balance the nose, like a trim tab but different...

Idk why it wont let me post a pic but I cut the transom and got everything back together today hope to try this weekend
