|
 sealer for aluminum boat So I just finished repainting my aluminum hull this week. Before I put it in the water, I would like to put some sort of sealant to protect the new paint. Anyone here have any suggestions?

Re: sealer for aluminum boat 5 Star Klear Kote. Works good out of a hvlp spray gun. About $80 for a gallon. Sprayed 2 coats on an 1856 and had about 1/8 - 1/4 left over

Re: sealer for aluminum boat If you used good paint (KEM400) and prepped it well, not sure why you would need a clear coat- so it doesn't fade as much? If you have something that scratches the surface it will do the same regardless of having a clear coat. Why not add another coat of paint? I would make touch up easy (If you feel you must).
