 Side bracing
Due to running into the side of my bar....not by me... The side of my boat is slightly bent. I want to get some bracing added because it seems more wobbly than before. Here is what I'm thinking:
Cut a square out of the floor on top of the horizontal brace. Weld 1x2 in center of horizontal brace and angle to the side of boat. Question is what would be the best way to secure to side of boat? Cut at an angle and weld straight to it? Add a gusset and cap off the top? I'm no fabricator and I have a guy doing it for me but he doesn't mess with mud hulls much so we are talking trying to figure out our best option.

 Re: Side bracing
I would put 2x4 catwalks on it. Looks like to me the gunnel is straight until the deck so you could start from the back and get the gunnel straight the notch it to fit the curve of the gunnel.
After you do that I doubt you will need a cross brace in your boat unless you want one.

 Re: Side bracing
Wont you need to do something with the gun box if your putting the cross brace in the middle? Or did you only plan on bracing the bent side?
