Is a 35hp surface drive too big for a 1546 express?

 Re: motor too big??
It's not. Wont get up real shallow without enough weight in the front, and will run bow high. With a person in the front or enough weight, itll run fine

 Re: motor too big??
That won't exactly save him any time. And the 1546 express will be fine unless he's trying to hunt 4 or run in stumps. Ive hunted out of one with a 27 for a 4 years, and hunted for 2 out of a different one with a 31 (same engine as the 35, ssme weight). Both ran flat with 2 or 3, and ran extremely shallow. There were a couple times we wish we had gatorglide, but didnt know it existed. Lol

 Re: motor too big??
I have a 35 gtr on a 15 foot sea ark and it does okay but not great. I could either get a new boat or a new motor I couldn't do both and my 1985 Yamaha shit the bed on me so I got a new motor and I'm saving up to get a boat. It works for now but it's not an ideal set up
