 Hydro Turf colors
I'm looking to add some Hydro Turf to my boat soon, but I'm having the hardest time choosing a color. The boat is a medium gray, and I'm wanting to stick with grays and tans. The outside of the hull will stay gray, but I will probably paint the interior of the boat tan and then cover as much as I can in the Hydro Turf. I've been torn between the Swamp Camo, Duk Grass, or even the Wood Grain lately, but I'm really leaning towards the Duk Grass. Can anyone shed some light on the different colors and offer suggestions? It's hard getting an idea of the true colors by looking at pictures online.

 Re: Hydro Turf colors
I'd recommend a darker color- it doesn't show dirt as much. I'd recommend the cut grooves, when spraying out it channels the muck out to the bilge easily. On camo, its personal preference and really doesn't matter once the mud gets on it. The HT grey looks pretty sharp even in a green boat, I personally like the clean look of a solid color.
I did mine in the OD Green GatorTrax sells-

That solid green looks good on that boat db. I have the swamp in mine and like it

 Re: Hydro Turf colors
The molded diamond is probably mor durable than the cut groove. I have the cut in two boats. One has turned to dust and pretty much disintegrated and almost gone. The other seems to tear easy. I'm putting the molded in my new one. Hopefully it more durable like I think it will be.

 Re: Hydro Turf colors
I just bought a sheet of swamp camo. I think it would look good on a grey boat. it has greys in it. I was gonna order from beavertail but saved like $30 getting swamp camo at a shop in down the road from me

 Re: Hydro Turf colors
I bought the green for where we hunt in Venice, LA. It stays green most of the time down here. I also like the non-grooved texture below.

 Re: Hydro Turf colors
What do u use to stick this to the boat floor? Spray adhesive or does it have adhesive on it already and u just remove a plastic backing and stick?
Also, DB, how much material did it take to do your excel? I've got a 17x54 excel I'm wanting to do but can't decide on color as mine is painted old school camo.
Thanks
Luke

Good to know dead bird.
I didn't really notice what was going on till a couple of years after it was installed. It was too late to complain about. I've heard about the defective product. Live and learn.
