 Small 3hp Outboard
I kinda know my way around mud motors and Im not afraid to turn a wrench but Im kinda lost when it comes to outboards... Im away at school and have no place to park my rig so a few buddies and I are going in on a smaller jon boat and were gonna slap a small 3hp two stroke johnson on it. The main uses are gonna be to access some public land from the water and possibly use it to night fish on the weekends. Anyways my big question is what should I be looking for when maintaining this engine? I realize the lower unit needs to be checked every once in a while and the pisser needs to be pumping water but other than that? Im gonna go get two new sets of plugs today but thats all I can think of... Thanks for the help!
