Wow! That is a well thought out rig. The welds are beautiful too! I really like the rigging tube in the crimp, along with the gunwale cap struts.

Would you tell me about the diagonal plate where the floor meets the sides, is that to keep crap from getting under the floor? Also, what are the holes in the gunwale cap for?

It makes an area for hooks to form if you run them all the way back. The can still happen without them being run all the way back but it's easier to beat them out

No reason to run them to the transom. If they're stopped short it allows water and trash to pass from side to side to the bilge pump and or drain(s).
