 Mud buddy I'm having issues with my 1648 Waco over plaining with my mud buddy 35 surface drive. Any tips or things I can do to prevent this? Will a piece of square tubing between the motor an transom help? Thanks

Re: Mud buddy There is a shim that comes with the motors that should take care of the problem. I personally never needed it on either of my boats.

Re: Mud buddy Over planing meaning nose of boat is getting pushed down in water, it's not hopping just plowing a lot of water. Any tips to fix this?

Re: Mud buddy Never heard of this on a mud boat.
Sounds like either to much weight in the front of the boat, or your not trimming up high enough.
Otherwise, with you and a 350 lb. motor on the back of a 16' boat, the bow should be wanting to lift.
What condition is the bottom of the boat in? Does it have a bunch of hooks?

Re: Mud buddy As stated above, the transom angle may be off from whats recommended, you can try shimming it. (that assumes you have exhausted distributing the load in the boat)
