Post Mud buddy
I'm having issues with my 1648 Waco over plaining with my mud buddy 35 surface drive. Any tips or things I can do to prevent this? Will a piece of square tubing between the motor an transom help? Thanks

There is a shim that comes with the motors that should take care of the problem. I personally never needed it on either of my boats.

Over planing meaning nose of boat is getting pushed down in water, it's not hopping just plowing a lot of water. Any tips to fix this?

Never heard of this on a mud boat.

Sounds like either to much weight in the front of the boat, or your not trimming up high enough.

Otherwise, with you and a 350 lb. motor on the back of a 16' boat, the bow should be wanting to lift.

What condition is the bottom of the boat in? Does it have a bunch of hooks?

As stated above, the transom angle may be off from whats recommended, you can try shimming it. (that assumes you have exhausted distributing the load in the boat)
