Anyone know a better way to keep paint on aluminum spud poles? Not a big deal but just wanted some ideas you guys may have. Thanks in advance!

Line the inside of the socket with carpet or hydroturf.

Post Re: Spud poles
Only reason I think the paint is wearing is because I have some gap between the spuds and the hole. When the boat moves back and forth with a wave I believe it is scrapping it off with the edge. When I touch my boat up at the end of the season I will add to the edges of the holes. May also round the edges out some to eliminate it. May or may not work but worth a try.

its a duck boat? if you touch up every little paint chip you will spend more time painting then hunting. but if it really bothers you have a shop make you a uhmw bushing for the hole.

The best thing to do throw the poles away when they get scratched up and get new ones.

Or maybe not worry about the poles and shoot some Damn ducks.

Cerakote it. Should be about $300 but you wouldn't have to be a little bitch any more.

I'm thinking that the paint chips reflect too much light from the under water LEDs. So yeah try carpeting the holes.
