 LED light Bar wiring
Ok guys I have a question. I have a new Prodigy and I am going to put a 12 inch LED light bar on the front. I have noticed that looking at pics that most people seem to have a plugin going from the light and plugging into the front of the boat. My question is..Why? Seems like that is just extra wiring hanging out there to trip over. I had planned on just wiring mine straight back to the switch. Am I missing something? thanks for you input. Im just curious.

 Re: LED light Bar wiring
I can put my light bar into the front hatch since I can unplug it. The bracket drops into the spud pole holes on the front. If you are permanently mounting your light bar, plug really isn't necessary. If you want it removable and mount it as such, need to be able to disconnect it too.

 Re: LED light Bar wiring
My guess is that it allows you to easily remove the light bar if your wanting too.

 Re: LED light Bar wiring
I've really never spent much time looking at these Bar lights. Do they have like a quick disconnect to unhook the light bar to store it?

 Re: LED light Bar wiring
Just buy a cheap one off amazon and you don't have to worry about replacing it. Had mine on for a year now and it's fine.

 Re: LED light Bar wiring
I made mine removable for flipping it around for backing into dark ass boat launches at zero dark thirty. Works great lights the hell out of the ramp. Plus if I'm running timber with lots of branches and limbs slapping around i use a hand held and remove the LEDs.
