 Paint questions? This come spring I'm going to be painting the boat because of some bad flaking. My question is what kind of paint do I use? I like the mossy oak bottom land design so I will be getting stencils for that. Do I spray it on bare aluminum or over the old paint? Just wondering what's the best bang for the buck and easiest and best way to get the job done.

Re: Paint questions? Sounds like you need to sand and start over with bare aluminum. I like the duralux paint.

Re: Paint questions? Just sprayed mine with duralux love it so far just been drying for a while but it is around 40 -60 here

Re: Paint questions? If it's flaking you better take it to bear metal. Prep is key to any paint job.

Re: Paint questions? Also what grit sand paper should I use I feel like 80grit is to much so I'm not sure what's going to get the job done the best

Re: Paint questions? I used self etching primer and parkers duck boat paint. Tr he only trouble I've had with it sticking is the gunnel caps but you figure they take a lot of abuse, especially with some of my friends
