Needing to ship my prop off to get reworked.
May seem like a stupid question but any sure fire way to pack my prop in a shipping box so it doesn't tear the box ?
The reason I ask this is because where I work it's pretty common for us to order parts for our equipment only for the UPS man to bring us an empty box where the metal tore through the box and the part fell out. Happens ALOT!!!
I guess I should put insurance on it but I'd rather not have to deal with making the claim if it can be prevented.

Just wrap it in paper really well and make sure it can't move around in the box. I've learned my lesson about not having insurance.

If you're that concerned, wrap the prop in packaging paper, place in a tightly fitting box, place tightly box inside a larger box with packing between the two boxes. Ain't going to hurt that package.

I just shipped out a bb and wrapped it in stretch wrap several times. Took some packing paper and stuffed it all around the prop and shipped it. Guy got it two days later. Box was fine and so was new prop. As someone said make sure it doesn't have a bunch of room to move around.
