 Re: Gator Trax ?
I have a 1850 with huntdeck and love it. I had an 1844 before and the 1850 carries a load a lot better. I have an equivilant to a 45 Mag on it except PVT internals. With 2 guys and hunting gear in big water it gets 29. I love the round chines. I can run through tight spots wide open and not have to worry about sliding into something.

 Re: Gator Trax ?
Another time I prefer a round chine for is when you have to push you boat sideways (e.g. lots of spots I hunt, I'll get the nose in the weeds/shore and then get out and push the stern into the weeds and on the shore). A round chine slides over mud/snow/weeds whereas a square chine digs in like a bulldozer blade...
