 Jumped ship
So i was given the option between going on an out of state hunting trip for a week for a graduation trip..or a new motor. That was a no brainier. Been in the process for past few weeks trying to sell the ole slow devil. Went to visit Gator Tail today to look around and ask a few questions and was told about the tax situation between LA and Tx...needless to say it was quite a bit cheeper plus didn't have to pay shipping in the future. GTR 37 EFI going on an 18x60 Go Devil hull. Get another pic once i get it bolted up. Anyone want a Go Devil? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425919740.282985.jpg

Buying one of these things is like buying a laptop computer. You send in a deposit and by the time you get what you ordered it's outdated by two generations...

Is that wire cover a Gator-Tail part or is it a Briggs part?

 Re: Jumped ship
I think its a briggs part. He said its there to cover up some wireing and other EFI stuff. Peral River Outlaw - lol that aint right, i plan on being down there even more next season than i was this past one. When yall come back just give me a shout and we can try and get a hunt together. A good ole mass murder of Red Heads is always fun

 Re: Jumped ship
Congrats!! You'll love the new motors. Just a tip: tie the dip stick with a piece of wire to the hoist tab or you'll be looking for a new one soon if you do any maneuvering in timber or thick stuff.

 Re: Jumped ship
Congratulations on your new GTR
Did they supply you with the handle that mounts to the back and crosses over the Air Cleaner? I had to call Gator-tail and have mine shipped free of charge. The dealer here in Florida didn't have any in stock when I purchased mine.

 Re: Jumped ship
Yeah i got a custom handle off my old motor so i need to find a way to adapt it to fit on this one with that EFI. And i will definitely its gonna have some hours put on it for sure, and its the only EFI motor around my neck of the woods that i know of.

 Re: Jumped ship
Good for you, Quack & Stack. Hopefully you can make enough over your lifetime to buy your child a whole brand new rig as a graduation present. That's the American Dream, right? Each generation getting further ahead?
Or is it bitching about somebody's parents making more money than your parents, thus offering "privilege?" Sometime I get confused on this site. Everyone hates Obama and Democrats but then bitches about people who get a "head start."

 Re: Jumped ship
Yeah I figured i'd catch alittle shit over it but it dont bother me. In all honesty though most kids these days either get money sent to them by family just to have (like me but it paid for the motor) or its pretty common now for em to go on out of state on big fun trips and i know quite a few that are even going out of country...
