Post Hand or foot trolling motor
What you guys running on your mud boats. I'm thinking of going with the hand control long shaft to stand up and run it. Foot is always just a pain in the ass

I pilot or hand control with extension. I always hated the foot control ones...

Im partial to foot control but that's just what Ive always used. I seen alot of boats here use hand controlled. If you dont like a foot control I'd recommend not buying one :)

Iv got the standard 4 foot front deck and don't use a seat I just stand, if anything I might get the butt pad seat to lean on. Iv had the foots on bass boats but always sat down to run em. The hand with the 52 inch shaft and extended handle should do it aye bruh? My adapted coonass accent saying bruh every 3rd word lol

I got a foot controlled troller so that I can control the motor from anywhere in the boat. But I also hate foot trollers...so I installed a sexy stick. I'll add photos when I get home. I just bought a light weight aluminum cane and bolted it to the pedal, now I get to stand on both feet and control the motor with my hand but don't have to be in front.

I've always ran a hand control but I'm going to try a foot control on this boat. I figure if I don't like it I'm getting a good enough deal that I can sell it and get another hand control.

I say hand control if ur standing and foot control if ur sitting. I've got a hand control now but my back starts hurting after a couple hours of standing so I'm getting a seat and a foot control to fish in comfort.

I-pilot with remote control module hooked to your belt. Only way to go for keeping a heading in wind or programing your favorite shore to auto track. When it is time to change bait or catch a fish, hit auto anchor and it stays right there. Best dollars I spent on the boat.

I second the Ipilot... but get a 24V or 80#+ trolling motor. These flat bottoms love to drift and not track.

I use a 12v wireless foot pedal trolling motor. Nice to have when fishing in the back of the boat ( I usually let the guest fish up front ) I sometimes carry an extra battery anyway , so the 12v vs 24 argument doesn't affect me. I use a 55lb now works great, but I'll be deffinatley upgrading after I get my next rig. I currently use a motor guide but I like min Kota as well.

Foot controlled. I stand or lean on my bass style seat.

70 pound 24 volt edge.

My 12v 55lb thrust never has never run down my whole battery. Then again I don't try to get my boat on a plane with a trolling motor ! I do carry another just incase.

I have the 24 volt I-pilot 80# and I say its the best money I spent on my boat, it would be hard to go back to hand control. I also use it when I go bowfishing.

Was in thick veggies with my 12v 55# min Kota all day today in the wind, had to keep it on high being in the wind and to go through the veggies but never had one single issue. And that's on a 19x48 boat

Tough decision.....but am leaning towards 12v 55# thrust, I won't use it to fish very often so would like only having one battery of added weight vs. 2.

Pretty sure this guy doesn't want a $2000+ trolling motor on his boat. And what if that thing malfunctions? Going to be swimming after ya boat lol

That's bad ass... If I had a 60K+ bass boat you bet your ass it would have one. Hard to justify the trolling motor costing 1/3 of what the hull does though

I'm sure they'd install it for you for the cool price of one of your kidneys. What happens when they turn against each other and they go prop vs. prop

I imagine probably more. 250K for a boat, they can charge pretty much whatever they want for anything. It's like sportscars... "Oh you want a black stripe? That'll be $12k." "Oh! You want your windows to actually roll down?! $8k for hand-crank, $15k for electric"

I'm just bitching cuz I'm jealous :(
