I like the steps on the back. I wish mine was like that. I made a rope ladder to make it easier to get back in the boat when we are hand fishing. But that step would make it way easier to get your knee on in water that is 4-5 foot

The hd? People can say what they want but, I'm more than happy with my mb and chads service. I've owned both and prefer the hd
