Post longtail vs surface drive vids
anybody have any good videos of the two seeing which one will go through the more grass, mud, and whatever else?

I ride with guys with longtails a lot but don't have many videos of them cause they're always too far behind me. :lol:

I run a LT and ride with guys with sds. Not a whole lot of places I can go that they can't and they're usually faster at it.
Long tails are better at creeping over obstacles that a surface drive would need a running start at bc of the reach. They're also good at creeping around everywhere else they go :lol:

I've owned both. I have already gone places with my surface drive I would not have even attempted with my old Longtail setup. They both have advantages that have been beat to death on this forum but for the type of running I do, the surface drive has already shown to be better. I know there's no way I would have been able to cover 40+ miles in one day through all different types of terrain with my Longtail.

That's my opinion based on the type of conditions I see and my experiences with both in similar conditions and terrains. Your results and opinion may vary...
