 Gator Trax Big Water 18/62
Anybody own one or have any experience with these boats? Looking to purchase one strictly for fishing. Rigged with a 140/150 outboard what kind of speeds can I expect and also how is the ride?
Thanks

50 mph depending on how much b's you have them install. It's a flat bottom boat. Gonna get splashed a bit. Look at their bay/bass boats too. They are finishing one now that looks awesome!

Thats kind of what I was thinking. I would definitely get the raked V hull to help with the chop. Just trying to stay in a size range that will fish shallow and get outside on good calm days.

If you have the coin to put a 150 on why not go with a 20 ft. Prodigy just finished one and its a sweet rig. Either way I'd go bigger with that size motor.

1854, 3/16 hull, with a hunt deck, hybrid rake, and a bunch more decks and accessories. I know of three of these boats. Two have 115 optis and one has a 60 yamaha. 115's run 50. The 60 runs 33. I hope that helps.

I don't know where you run, buy those suzuki motors corrode horribly in the salt water. They corrode from the inside out. I've seen a honda and a suzuki do it.

I fish in Delacroix, LA. First I've heard of this. Will definitely have to check on this. Lot of Suzuki's sitting on boat slips down there tho.

Not to trash Suzuki but parts are hard to come by over here in mobile just 1 dealer Yamaha mercury every corner it seems like just saying it might be sitting while you wait for a part.

Bought a Suzuki 4 stroke salt water 300 hp and have had good luck with it. I been running up to 20 miles out. Fuel mileage is awesome. It's on a 24' bay. Speed is 57mph
