Southern Boat Lite LED bar sunk for 6 MONTHS STILL WORKS
Just wanted to give a shout out to Southern Boat Lite! I hit a submerged log running at speed and sunk my boat in early December of last year. Lost everything, gun, boat, brand new backh20,T gear, etc. Tried to recover the boat several times, but it apparently had slid down the river from where it went down. Located it on sonar and a father and son ended up recovering the boat and gave me a call to let me know that they found it. Anyway, I had a southern boat lite led bar, four rows of leds, 2 spots, 2 floods, and just for out of curiosity figured I'd hook it up to a battery to see if it worked. Lit up like a champ! This thing is rock solid and they guys who made it definitely know what they're doing. Worth every penny.

Damn. That's pretty cool. I'd call them and let them know. If I owned the company, I'd want to buy it back from you and send you a new one. That's as damn good marketing tool for them imo.

Yeah I called them up and they were super pumped to hear that it is still kicking. Will be sending it back to get it cleaned up and make sure it's good for the season. The lens need to be cleaned up, so we can get the most light out of it. I took some pictures if anyone is interested.

Here is a picture of the prop and driveshaft tied off to the boat and these guys dragged it all the way back to the ramp. Awesome family. They didn't need to call me to tell me they found it and could've kept everything for themselves. It's good to know there are still good people out there. Also attached a picture of the light.

Here is the motor on the way to the shop. The backh20 guys are amazing as always and the motor was up and running this morning. Cost a few hundred to get it fixed, but way less then buying a new motor. No rust inside driveshaft assembly and everything looks good.

If any of yall know Chris Weaver and his family around Durham, NC or down in Savannah, he and his boy did a great job helping me and are good people.

Good thing you put the motor inside that Suburban. I mean you don't want it to get dirty or anything! Haha. Glad you're back up and running!
