Post 4th of July weekend adventure.
Decided to take the family out to a buddy's camp for the weekend. I'm ashamed to say, but I hadn't put the boat in the water in about 8 months. I run it pretty much weekly on the trailer just to keep everything lubed up and the gas from sitting in the carb for too long. Anyway, we loaded up and headed out. Me, the wife, my 2.5 year old, 15 gals of fuel, 90 qt K2 loaded down, 20 qt Yeti loaded down, and all the stuff to spend the weekend. She ran low to mid 26's in deep water. Made a run back to the launch to pick up a buddy. Leaving the launch I heard a noise and immediately shut the motor down. Turns out my grass guard didn't want to hold on any longer. Luckily I had some tools with me and was able to get it off and out of the way with no problems. Time to order some parts now.

Here is what I took out of the motor.

Got everything out of the way and took off back to the camp. Ran the rest of the weekend with no issues. Actually seemed to run a little better on the way back. Granted I was about a case and a half of beer lighter. But not sure how much difference that would make. This was running in about 2.5 feet of water.

No need to put the grass guard back on there. Friend of mine got all cut up when his took a crap.

No grass guard going back on. But I'm missing a couple blades on the fan so I want to replace that at a minimum.

My dad's hit my uncle in the back of the head (no blood, just some laughter and relief) and broke some fan blades. We didn't put it back on. Got some bolts to hold the ring on the fan, and just put the brush guard back on. Left the grass screen in the trash. Mine doesn't have the screen either, just the guard. Reduces an opportunity for something that doesn't serve a purpose to break blades off the fan or go flying and hurt someone.

It'll run with a couple blades missing without issue. Just replace it and that plastic retaining ring when you want to spend the money.

That's the first mod everyone with a MM should do, take that shit out and put the little screen back on top...

I'm having trouble finding the correct parts for the motor because I can't find my model number. Can anyone give me the part numbers for the fan, and those tower studs. Or can I just use a bolt that fits the treads on the flywheel?

Just look up 613477 on partstree.com
Model code 0121e1. The fan and rig are the same. The bolts, get some that fit. Without the grass screen, you don't want the bolts that would normally go there. Nothing to contain the extended ones spaced at the top, so they might spread with the continuous centrifugal force over time.
