 Re: Gator Glide
Did you apply going across or long ways down the boat? Any advice with the ribs?

 Re: Gator Glide
we started going long ways but only the center an far outside sections were wide enough for the roller on 3rd coat we did cross the ribs start at one end and work ur way to the other and its way easier, u have roll the ribs a bunch but its not bad i suggest crossways

 Re: Gator Glide
Nice work kcudslayer. Peel the tape while you have a wet edge. I like to spray the ribs but then roll over it to control how much is on and insure adhesion . Roll up and over the ribs. Also when the ribs are facing up I will do a few more thin coats on the peaks. It naturally wants to thin out on the peaks and that's where the wear will be. Still sould wait 20 minutes between those coats also. Extra coats only on the peaks!

 Re: Gator Glide
No change unless you're in contact with mud, dirt, grass, etc. Doesn't change sliding in water.

 Re: Gator Glide
Probably so, that Alumacraft probably isn't heavy.

 Re: Gator Glide
If you wanted to do it with a hoist, just set the motor on a saw-horse, hang the front from a tree, and pick the back up with the engine hoist. Seen that done too Here's how I prefer to do mine lol

 Re: Gator Glide
I defintely need to GG my boat!! After this weekend I need all the slip I can get. Low water, thick grass and hard bottom had me stove up pretty good. Got stuck yesterday and ended up throwing a load of lumber overboard to lighten the load to get back to the camp 200 yards away. Almost overheated in the process. Went back this morning for a second attempt. Once reloaded with half of the lumber the boat was sitting flush on the bottom and just couldn't get it moving. Dont have reverse, so didn't have that option to dig a trench to get moving again(tho I doubt it would have helped). Maybe, had I been able to hit the pond with some momentum, I might have been able to keep it moving. GG may have helped......maybe.
