Anyone interested in a build thread?
Is anyone interested in a longtail build thread or has it been done enough? I know I had a lot of questions and had to find all my answers through research of my own and a couple guys pm'd me with advice that helped. If I were to post a build with detail it might alleviate questions like I asked, mostly because all the other longtail build threads have vanished on here. I'm about to start a vtwin homebuilt longtail. Make a build thread or no?

Doesn't matter. Nobody will actually use the search feature to see if the exact same question they have has been answered 117 times already.

Re: Anyone interested in a build thread?
I used the search feature and couldn't find anything I was trying to find, and I was told this was due to a server switch and alot of the content was lost. So I'm just wandering if it will actually help maybe make it a sticky?

You mean like the sticky at the top of the reviews forum? Those work well!

Re: Anyone interested in a build thread?
All the old threads are still here too. Depending on how the pics were loaded, some were lost in the server change. Search via google. The search on the site does suck since the change.

Re: Anyone interested in a build thread?
Hey, I was curious about using sealed bearings at the top of my shaft. Coupling to fit inside. Just puzzled on how to hold them in- c clip?

Re: Anyone interested in a build thread?
I couldn't find a bearing the right size to go along with the brass bushings. I ended up using bushings all the way in the shaft and using a 4 bolt pressed flange bearing bolted to the frame for easy replacement.

Re: Anyone interested in a build thread?
If you were to use a seal bearing you make them stay in the same way you did with the bushing. Kiss it with a drill bit. And use a set screw through your shaft tubing housing
