boat blind opinions from people who own them
please give me your honest opinion on the best boat blind you have hunted out of. I want something thats going to last and will hide very well as well. I dont hunt the marsh so it fast grass will not work for me. I hunt around buttonwoods and cypress trees.
Pics would be awesome as well. I have a 16x44 boat now but was considering stepping up to a 17x48 or 52

Build your own. You can find some cheap fabric for a backing to put your cover on and use a cheap tarp for a wind block. I hunt around d cypress and used some mojo ghillie hide stuff and some raffia that I painted up green, brown, and so on.

Build your own. This one cost me about 30$ to build the frame out of EMT conduit tubeing. (I already had the grass)and it looks and holds up awesome. Can build it to the exact length and width you need. And I can pick it up and carry it by myself.

Banded axe blind!!!!! I absolute love mine it's super wind proof and super water proof. Put it on the shore were u can't put the boat and if u brush it up nice u become invisible!!! One of my favorite investments so far

Re: boat blind opinions from people who own them
Made this last season, worked great and was easy to setup but I won't be going with grass again on my new blind it looked good but doesn't hold up like I wanted for the price. Pic doesn't show the optional flip roof I added later.

Re: boat blind opinions from people who own them
I think I have some more pictures of the building of the frame on my work computer, but I'm off today. I lost my phone that had most pics on it. It's not hard to build at all, if you need any help or pictures of the inside just let me know.

Re: boat blind opinions from people who own them
I've been very happy with the gator Trae blind. I added the flip lids and had concerns about the blind being to tall. No issue at all. End of season in slap we hunted the middle of a pond with no issues and birds landing in the decoys.
Use the fast grass sold at gator Trae and not the Avery crap. The fast grass has been on my boat for 3 seasons now. I used to drop mats on the front deck and hunt deck but they would only last a season and a half. Now I use bundles of raffia grass and they work much better to hide the decks.
