 Welding Wire Alloy
Guys, I am going to be doing some welding soon. What alloy of wire do most people use for their mud boats? 4000, 5000, or 6000 series? 4000 is softer and not as apt to crack. Right?
Thanks for the help.

 Re: Welding Wire Alloy
Im sure they would all work. Ive only built 2 boats before and I used 5356. The first boat was in 2000 and has never had anything crack yet. Its been commercial fished since it was built. Maybe one of the pro boat builders will chime in and help ya out.
