Not sure if this is in thre right section but I picked up a used 27hp prodrive and put it on my 1648 tracker grizzly with low expectations, 10 mph with 2 people and a dog and 17mph with just me. So its time for a new hull. Does anyone have experience running a 27 prodrive on a 1648 rivited flatbottom lowe or similar? I'm hoping to be able to get up to 20mph with 2 people a dog and a light load, is that going to be possible with that motor/ boat combo? I would plan on bracing the transom for the motor. I'm trying to go as cheap as i can for a couple seasons untill I can afford to do it the right way. I don't really need a thick heavy duty hull for the areas i hunt. any info would be appreciated.
