 Re: 1750 Deadfowl Build
Which channel? Up in the front inside the hatch or the trays the hatch closes on?

The bottom of the compartment yes, the channel the hatch door rests in, I'm not positive if he incorporated a drain or not

 Re: 1750 Deadfowl Build
Yea he mentioned you stopped by when I talked to him earlier this week. Him and I bother were anxious to see how it turned out with a flat bottom and pointed nose with that winch mount put in..I think it turned it pretty good! I appreciate it! I know he wasn't looking forward to them, said they are a big pain in the a**. Lol

Rj told me he tried to talk you out of them, they come out nice. I do like the ice chest seat just because you can move it and have the whole back to work motor if you need to!

 Re: 1750 Deadfowl Build
Haha yea he tried too. I've just always liked them/wanted them. Lol plus I'm going to be able to hide my bilge in them. I'll mount my bilge under hunt deck and run my discharge line up and through the inside, up under the catwalk side. If that makes sense what I'm saying? Lol

 Re: 1750 Deadfowl Build
He is definitely good at what he is doing for sure! One of the coolest things, being one of his friends, is see him come all this way from his very first boat he built himself some years ago! It's pretty neat to see how they have all evolved from his beginning project!

 Re: 1750 Deadfowl Build
Being that you're gonna be running a gtr I figured he would have put the extra bow eyes on the front. It's much easier to be towed from the front. But he's the builder so I suppose RJ knows best.

 Re: 1750 Deadfowl Build
I've got a bow eye on the front as well, but instead of your standard handles everyone puts on the rear, I decided to go with bow eyes on the rear instead. Place for my trailer straps to hook. Plus with the steps integrated, the eyes fit better than a handle would

 Re: 1750 Deadfowl Build
I actually think I might go with the bow eyes on the back too instead of handles. Looks better and plus you have those handles on the hunt deck anyways.. Really looking good now man. Can't wait till next spring so I can order mine!

 Re: 1750 Deadfowl Build
Yea, I really like the look of the eyes vs the handle. And exactly what you said, I've got my false transom to huntdeck handles to grab and pull on so no need for handles. I appreciate it!

Preciate it! Yes it's removable. Just slides out. Went with a square handle so I don't have to run a pin through it. Just slide the square one in or out and your done

 Re: 1750 Deadfowl Build
Haha yea I'm going with bottomland. It's the redleg bark. On the redleg website I believe it is the Redleg Timber HD. Going with the base coat Rj has (very similar and close to gator tail green/brown) with major brown blotches and the flat black bark. We also talked about and settled on, since I have a black fairlead, black shark eyes, black light bar, and black hydroturf, he is painting the motor black instead of camo. With all the black accents, the black motor will looks badass we feel like. (Just wish we would have thought of it sooner so I could have got factory black motor) oh well! Haha
