Will an outboard with prop have less / prevent sliding on a mud motor smooth bottom hull?

I have a smooth bottom mud hull (1852). I go back and forth between a 35GTR and a 60hp tiller outboard depending on what I'm doing. Although the boat was built for the mudmotor it handles great with the outboard once I got the motor height right. It doesn't slide much at all even if I turn when really hauling ass with the outboard. I suppose if I really drove it recklessly, I could get it to slide bad with the outboard.

It doesn't slide too bad with the MM either, but it does slide when I make sharp turns while cruising the backwaters at high speed.

Chine design affects the sliding, not the flat bottom. Round chines or multi-taper will stick better at speed than a square chine.

not to mention the outboard is acting as a deeper rudder with a prop that is pulling your stern around. As apposed to a surface prop pushing you with almost no rudder or skeg in the water.
