Cut in spark plug hood causing arch
PD 36 was backfiring after launching and would kill as soon as i throttled. back at the launch noticed a cut in the spark plug hood and you could see the arch. Wrapped in elect tape and ran it the rest of the trip and it ran fine until the final day. On the last day would not idle well at all and kept dieing well after being warmed up.
You think the idle issue is because the elect tape isnt good enough.
I will replace the wire and hood after the season, just trying to get through the last couple of weeks left.
Thoughts on idle issue? Any issues in running it with the band aide temporarily? Is the spark plug hood and wire one piece?
Thanks for the help

Electrical tape doesn't always work, put NGK boots on and heat shrink on the wire and it'll never give you a problem again. NGK LB05EP Resistor Spark Plug Cap
