Something new from Phowler for 2016
Many have seen our new Phowl Deck option for 2016, here is our newest boat design.
This is not for everyone, but we have been getting requests for several years to make an all aluminum layout boat for open water and for marsh hunting.
We designed this hull on paper a few years ago, earlier this year we started playing with 1/3 scale models to test balance, ride, etc.
Finally we had time to do a full size prototype and started testing in before the first of the year.
Here is the all new Phowler Phantom Layout boat:
Videos of towing and loading are on our Facebook page, Phowler Boat Company.

I been wanting one of these for a long long time but all I could find were stuff on the East coast but they want a left but for em to. How do these handle in any kind of chop..? Or they more of like a glass calm kinda thing?
Very very interested to see what the sell price of these will be. I've only heard of how deadly layouts are down here...

Re: Something new from Phowler for 2016
Just looked at your fb page and got a question or two. I saw that y'all will be offering a two man layout, any prototype pictures?
Also saw that it is capable of "high speed tow" I'm assuming that's designed more for outboard use. Mud motors throw way to much water for that unless you got a long rope. What is "high speed" considered? MM with a prop buried will still do 22-23 easy.
Sorry if thats a dumb questions just very interested in these and know little about them. I can only imagine hunting some places around here out of a layout boat where birds pile up by the thousands in the middle of nowhere..
