 Predator motor 22hp please help!!!
Guys I have a few questions for you. My predator mud buddy swap turned out great. I am now however running into issues where my motor cuts right off after about 30 to 45 Seconds of running on plane. I am not sure if this is a fuel related issue or possibly a low oil shut off issue even though the oil is within spec. I have a video on my phone that shows it happening but it won't load on the page. If anyone can help me it would be great. This is a huge pain being though I can barley go above idol without it cutting off. Thanks again guys!

ok, so narrow it down. First unplug the low oil pressure switch and run it. if still occurs try having someone pump the fuel bulb while running. This will narrow those two issues, also are you using a new style tank?

Re: Predator motor 22hp please help!!!
I have the same motor on an sps kit. The gas was running through 2 filters and the bulb and would cut off probably like 10 seconds after planing off. I replaced one of the filters with an electric fuel pump and haven't had any problems with it since. The only downfall is having to turn the pump on every time you want to go fast.

I want to say that's right that's what I had to do to my long tail predator engine to put a fuel pump on it once I put the fuel pump it's like a whole new motor got the pump at Napa $57 littleexpensive but it was worth it because it works perfect now

I had the same problem and a fuel pump fixed it. This question is off topic but any idea on an oil filter number for this engine

Don't let the parts people tell you otherwise. They'll try to give you the filter for a gx670 honda and it's wrong. The honda has 20mm threads and the predator has 3/4. Not much different but enough it ruined my filter adaptor and I had to wait 3 months for a new one

I'm thinking a 2-4 psi pump would be enough. Guy in a different forum said this one works. http://m.oreillyauto.com/mt/www.oreilly ... t_redirectIt's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.

2-4 psi is what I'm running wired into the key switch with a waterproof relay. One less thing to worry about turning off
