Well yeah I probably should have went with another builder but unfortunately I had to learn my lesson the hard way. I really thought it was a good boat. It had a good layout and SEEMED like it was built right. But sometimes you live and learn the hard way. Seems like my story all the time. But depending on what is said and done I'm probably going to be trying to find a 48" Godevil hull.

well, we'd all like to hope that the builder will fix your boat the right way, and you will be happy and not have to get another boat.

Lol, Flint, we get it. Your boat had some issues due to some salt water and corrosion but it wasn't simply because the boat had flotation. There are far more GD boats running around with flotation and without issues than have problems. But thanks for the public service announcement every single time a GoDevil hull is mentioned.

Ricerunner. If you're Considering a used GD hull just make sure it was one that was taken care of and not left outside in the rain and water allowed to stand in the boat. That's the main culprits for wet foam. They're good boats, and that's not being said just because I own one. I'm not on anyone's payroll...

If nothing is done, there comes a point in time where you have to wash your hand of folks and move on. Word of mouth is enough to destroy a business. If you get nothing resolved, try the bottle jack trick. It may pop it back flat. It won't over flex it because of how its sandwiched. Wish you luck.

Called again no answer left message. Called me back this time. They determined that the trailer bunks were the issue and that they were going to press it back out and straighten it up. Fingers crossed they get it right and the boat works.

Yes they are moving the bunks too. Just hope it preforms

It will if they "pop" it back out. But when you hit something, or run over some dry ground, dike etc. it will probably "pop" back to the way it was. Sucks but it's true. They need to add more longitudinal stringers or weld cross braces in when its popped back in place. Popping it back out won't last long.

Texted again this AM about the probability that the pocket will push back in. They are adding extra gussets and talking with Wesco about getting me two more (total of 4) bunks added. Also they are changing my grab bar it was very large bulky and moved around a good bit with their new style smaller and better suited for the boat. I'll upload pics when I get it back. So far so good.

I think this has been stated, but you really need to get them to weld some cross braces on top of the longitudinal stringers.

Not sure if you had any before-have not seen an inside pic of boat, but they will be critical and are always critical to keeping the boat from flexing up.

If you are not familiar with them look at any pd boat or just about any mud boat for that matter.

If you do not have those (they should have been there from the get go), it will pop back.

Some don't like them as they feel they are trip hazards, but if you can't navigate that you shouldn't be in a mud boat.

I do have them three total one at the end of the deck one in the middle and one at the back at the hunt deck
