Post Gtr gearing
Does anyone know the top and bottom tooth count of a gen three gtr with the old non-cast lower unit.

Thanks in advance I'm just trying to be lazy and not have to take my lower off and count.

have you looked to see if it is stamped at the top of the belt housing? under the cover. that's where mine is stamped

2011-2012 ish is when the 48 came out.
measure your top of belt housing to center of the side plate holes.
3" = 45T
3.375" = 48T
Also 48's were stamped 48T on the port side of the belt housing at the top.

Seems like Hotsauce got some good information, so I'm going to highjack the thread some.

Any input on preferred gearing for the 23/25 horse engines? Does anyone know what they are sending out the 25 Subaru’s with now?

I bought a used frame. It’s a 2013 and originally had a 35 Briggs on it. I bought the proper adapters/shims and put the 25 Subaru on it. I’m just curious if I could look at the gearing for a performance increase if there is something better for the 25.
