 Beavertail 23LT
Anyone have experience with this motor? I cannot seem to find many reviews or even videos on YouTube of people running them. I spoke to their sales and customer service department and they seem pretty good. I plan to put this on my 1448 flat bottom (15" transom) with gator glide. I'm in the process of rebuilding my transom as well. But at 160lbs, I'm not too worried, especially with a 1.5" transom and reinforcing ribs. It seems like it would be a good fit and at about $3100 shipped to the door new, it sounds like a good deal.

I have and that's my preference. I'm just curios if anyone has reviews on the beavertail.

Some out there , they preform . In terms of longtail evolution , with go devil being oldest simplest design, beaver tail tried some new things , cav plate work , extreme motor builds . Backwater is the cats daddy right now though . Who knows what's coming next H Finn

 Re: Beavertail 23LT
Thanks. So it sounds like it's a middle of the road motor. If I can, I'll fork out the extra few hundred for the backwater.

 Re: Beavertail 23LT
I have an older model 24hp beavertail. Ran it for a couple years. Now I have a swomp 23. The difference is night and day. Don't get me wrong. It's a great motor and I'm fixing up a boat to put it on right now for my son. But I love my Backwater.
